Into the Heart of God

My soul rests in the heart of God.
I know I can linger there.
He speaks to me gently with words profound
And my soul no longer despairs.

Where once there was pain and endless strife.
I now only know gentle peace.
By resting inside the heart of my God
I've found amazing release.

Life still can be hard even in this calm place,
But I know now that I'm not alone.
I bring all my hopes, my fears and my dreams
To the heart of God's holy throne.

Come with me. There's room for you, too.
No one seeking was ever denied
The chance to find rest in the heart of God.
His arms are held open wide.

2 Thessalonians 3:5
May the Lord direct your hearts into God's love and Christ's perseverance.

Challenge Questions:
1. How has God spoken to you in times of despair?

2. Why would God take the time to listen to you? What does that tell you about his nature?

3. What does it mean to "rest in the heart of God"?

4. Is there anything that is keeping you from resting in the heart of God? If so what will you do to remove the barrier?
