Rain On Me
By Laurita McKercher

In the silence, I close my eyes and raise my face to God.
I wait with baited breath to hear the Heavenly applaud.
The moments pass in anxiousness as I gaze up to see
The hands of God reach down from heaven and rain his grace on me.

Complete and total healing that I have never felt before
Rolls over me into my being as I let his mercy pour
Into every tiny crack where I have tried to hide
My past rebellious arrogance hidden deep inside.

The choice to be made vulnerable and fall before him now
Is all that keeps my soul from death and opens up somehow
The path to live a joyous life that God wants just for me.
I let his grace rain over me; I let him set me free.

Titus 3: 4-7
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”

Challenge Questions:
1. What does mercy mean to you personally?

2. How does God’s mercy make you justified by his grace?

3. As you visualize God reaching down from heaven and pouring his grace upon you what do you feel? What do you know?

4. How will the knowledge of God pouring himself over you in the form of the Holy Spirit affect you this day?

A Painting of the Soul

Paint a picture on your soul of the dreams you’ve yet to see.
Peel the layers of hurt aside and give them all to me.
I knew you and I formed you and planned your life with care.
There never was a time, my child, when I was not there.

Paint a picture on your soul of the dreams you’ve yet to see.
For hope and joy are mine to give. I’ll give them yet to thee.
For you are my beloved, the one that shines in grace.
The pictures that you’ve yet to paint reflect my shining face.

Paint a picture on your soul of the dreams you’ve yet to see.
You’ve come back to my heart once more and answered my heart’s plea.
I wish that I could tell you how I’ve yearned to have you near.
Please burn me deep into your soul, I’m overjoyed you’re here.

Paint a picture on your soul of the dreams you’ve yet to see.
I will always be a part of you. Let’s dream, just you and me.
Let’s spend your life together in a uniting of our souls.
Let me be an instrument to completely make you whole.

2 Chronicles 7:16
“I have chosen and consecrated this temple so that my Name may be there forever. My eyes and my heart will always be there.”

Challenge Questions:
1. If your body is God’s temple, what would you want him to see painted on the walls of your soul?

2. What dreams do you have for your future life with God? On this earth? Beyond?

3. What steps will you take to work with God to paint the dreams that he has for you?
